Having recently painted my front door a fabulous navy blue, the rest of the exterior was looking distinctly mehh. I knew the shutters needed to be painted too but it seemed like it would be a painful and drawn out project. Well, I did it in only 3 hours this weekend thanks to the HomeRight Medium Duty Paint Sprayer.
Lets take a closer look:
The shutters were very faded.
All the screws had rusted too.
The longest part of the whole process was removing the shutters and getting them back up again. The actual painting part took about 20 minutes in total!
It was so easy. Once I had put the spray painter together (very straight forward, just follow the instructions) and thinned the paint (if you’re using latex paint just thin it about 10% with water) I was ready to go.
The overspray is pretty severe….I’m going to have blue grass for a while LOL. Oh well! It’s worth it. The whole house certainly looks tidier.
EESH, someone call the landscapers!
The siding BADLY needs a paint job too, but I’m not sure that we’re brave enough to tackle that by ourselves.
Thank you HomeRight for partnering with me on this post. I’m excited to try my Medium Duty Paint Sprayer on some other projects! Oh and by the way, I thought the clean-up on this would be a p.a.i.n….but as long as you use latex paints, plain ol’ water will get it clean just fine!
